1950s floral full-skirted sundress
The prettiest dress in town!
If ever Summer were to be embodied in a single dress, this is it (forget the showers!). This flirty feminine sundress has spaghetti straps, a fitted bodice and a full, classic 50s skirt. The fullness of the skirt is created by a crinkly underskirt and a separate lining. The blue and green floral print is as fresh as ever... just add pumps, a picnic and Pimms. Measurements: (taken from garment laid flat with measurement doubled)
Armpit to armpit: 89 cm/ 35 inches
Waist: 71 cm/ 28 inches
Condition: Very good vintage condition (see the Vintage Clothing Condition Guide for more information) This dress has been taken in and then let out again at the sides of the bodice. The stitch lines are there but hard to see. In two places along the stitch lines the nylon has frayed a little but this has been repaired. A good repair has been made under the right arm. None of these tiny flaws affect the wearability of the dress.
