SOLD 1980s Laura Ashley midnight blue ballgown
Feel like a princess in this fairytale gown!
Imagine if you will... the end of the fairytale where the princess goes to the ball and her eyes meet those of her prince across a crowded ballroom... this is the very dress she would be wearing, I kid you not. Where to start with this confection... we have a boned, fitted bodice, a small frill around the top of the bodice, echoed in the hem of the two-layed, voluminous skirt, which has been ruched up with bows. If it wasn't a rich, almost purple midnight blue, it might be all too much, but this clever colour makes it classy not tacky. And anyway, vintage Laura Ashley could never be tacky. So pop on this amazing gown (you might need help, it's very heavy!) and head off to meet your prince (or princess... it's a modern world out there).
