If you've just had a clear out and would like to bring your items in to sell, this is what to expect:

• We'll ask you to fill out a form with your details and to leave your items with us for a week or so.

• Every now and again we are so jammed packed with goodies we stop buying contemporary fashion for a while, and concentrate solely on buying vintage. There will be a sign to this effect in the window, or you could call to check on 020 883 1117 or email gaynor.spry@sky.com.

• Gaynor will look through the items and contact you (usually via email if possible) with an offer to buy them outright, or a suggestion that we operate on an agency basis.

• You will be offered a cash price, or a Lazooli voucher price (x 1.25 cash price) and you can decide on either option of payment.

• Agency basis is sometimes offered for pricier items. Here, we agree together on a retail price, and once the item has been sold, we take 50% of the retail price each.

• Any dry cleaning of agency items (which we will discuss first) will be deducted from seller’s 50% of sale price.

• Any agency items that haven't sold by the end of the appropriate season will be returned. (Any outstanding dry cleaning to be paid for at this point, thank you).

What we're looking for (and what we're not!)

• Yes please: Vintage fashion from the 1970s back (particularly 1950s ballgowns, cocktail dresses and beaded cardigans, 1970s leather coats and jackets); immaculate shoes; leather handbags; contemporary fashion in good condition; vintage pottery.

• No thank you: Work wear (e.g. dark, plain suits); denim; real fur; precious jewellery; anything with big padded shoulders (remember the 80s? I do... shudder.).
